Services Held on Monday for Arthur Barton Funeral services were held Monday, April 13, at 2 pm at Arlington Community Church for Arthur Leonard Barton, 85, of Arlington, who died April 10, 1981 at memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Rev. Gerald E. Senn conducted the services. Burial was in Arlington Cemetery. Military services were conducted at graveside.

Arthur Leonard Barton was born July 1, 1895 at Arlington to Solomon T. and Theresia Larson Barton. He was a lifetime resident of the Arlington area and a retired farmer.

On June 27, 1923 he married Anna Cora Stinnard in Blair. He was a veteran of World War I, serving with the Army in Germany; and a member of Arlington Community Church and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; and two sons, Harold Barton of Arlington, and Robert Barton of Fremont. One sister, Mrs. Henry (Ethel) Pritzel, Englewood, Colorado; and three grandchildren survive him.

Reckmeyer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the service.
