Mrs. Barton was born in the vicinity of Keyport on July 14, 1823, and had spent all her life at that place.
She was twice married, her first husband being Daniel Holmes, who died about 40 years ago. She was a widow about four years, marrying the late George Barton of Keyport, who died four years ago.
Mrs. Barton is not survived by any near relatives, two children dying in infancy.
She was a contributing member of Calvary Methodist Church and the Ladies Aid Society.
Funeral services, conducted by Re. I.S. Yerkes, were held at her late home Wednesday afternoon, and interment was made in Green Grove Cemetery.
