WATERBURY — Mr. Alphonse M. Basso, 93, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at Abbott Terrace Health Center. He was the widower of Mildred D'Angelo and Yolanda Pascarmona.

Alphonse was born in Torrington on Nov. 22, 1916, son of the late Carlo and Savina (D'Alessio) Basso. Alphonse was a World War II veteran of the U.S.Army. He was a longtime employee of Truelove & McLean Inc. until his retirement and was a communicate of St. Lucy's Church. Alphonse will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews and is predeceased by a sister, Jasmine (Basso) Sesko.

Arrangements: Funeral Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, to St. Lucy's Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hour Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
