Frederick L. Baston of Waite Park, Minnesota. August 9, 1922 - November 10, 2006. He married Virginia "Dixie" Frost and she preceded him in death. He later married Thomasine "Tommie" Zapp Grundman on September 30, 1978 and she preceded him in death. Fred was a Chevrolet Dealer from 1946 to 1986. He was on the Board of Directors for Norwest Bank and on the Chevrolet National Planning Committee. He was president and founding member of the St. Cloud Exchange Club, a member of the Ozmun Shrine, the St. Cloud Country Club and a life member of the St. Cloud Elks. Fred is survived by his sons, David L. (Vicki) Baston of Sartell and Peter B. Baston of St. Cloud and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church, St. Cloud for Frederick L. Baston, 84, who died Friday in St. Cloud. Pastor Al Jergenson will officiate. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be at the Williams Funeral Home, St. Cloud from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, November 15th and also after 9 am on Thursday at the church.
