Dr. A. Kenneth Bates, 78, Alabama Drive, Winter Park, died Tuesday, Jan. 21. Dr. Bates was a retired dentist. Born in Danvers, Mass., he moved to Central Florida in 1980.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Winter Park. He was a Redcap and volunteered with Hospice of Central Florida. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors: son, Arthur K., Salem, Mass.; daughter, Marsha, Lynnfield, Mass.; fiance, Marna B. Williams, Winter Park; two grandchildren.
