Sandra Lee Auman-Henderson, age 65, of 2534 Spoons Chapel Road, Asheboro died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Auman-Henderson was born November 25, 1947 in Marietta, SC to Robert and Delores Kirkpatrick Batson. She was retired as Procurement Manager with the U.S. Postal Service in Greensboro and had formerly worked with the Postal Service in Memphis, TN. Sandra sang in the choir at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church and Balfour Baptist Church where she was a member. She enjoyed the beach, motorcycle riding and was active with the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Adams.

She is survived by her husband, Reginald Henderson; son, Robert A. "Tony" Dula and wife Dawn of Level Cross; daughter, Lisa D. Chaney and husband Dean of Bennett; grandchildren, Whitney, Tyler, Landon, Caleb and Grayson; sisters, Rebecca Emerson of Randleman, Patricia York of Sophia.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm at Balfour Baptist Church, 1644 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Kenneth L. Reaves officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
