Janet Frances Acrey, age 66 died in the Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill, Texas Wednesday evening after a sudden illness.
She was born in Baytown, Texas to Lyle and Freeda Irene Francis Batson. Janet was a housewife and mother and after the death of her husband took care of her mother until her death in 2010.
She is survived by her son Jonathon Acrey of Houston, Texas her daughter Melissa Hendry and her husband Craig of Deer Park, Texas and her brother Jerry Lee Batson and his wife Maggie of Hemphill. Janet is also survived by her grandchildren; Joshua, Jana, and Leah, and her great grandchildren; Abby and Aidan.
Funeral services will be at 2pm Sunday, March 13, 2011, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Hemphill Cemetery, Hemphill, Texas.
