Henry W. Bauer, Jr., “Hank” a longtime resident of South Salem, NY, died on September 13th.

Hank was born in The Bronx on Nov. 25, 1925 to Henry Sr. and Anna Bauer.

He was a US Navy veteran in WWII and served in the Pacific Theatre.

Hank was a Regional Sales Manager for Multi-Metal in Tappan, NY for many years.

He was a life member of the South Salem Fire Department where he was also Past Treasurer and Headquarters Captain and served as Santa Claus for many years.

He was a member of the Westchester Co. Fire Chiefs Association, South Salem Fish and Game Assoc., Lewisboro Seniors, German-American Club of Stamford, CT and the NRA. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and loved bowling and golf.

Hank was the beloved husband of the late Olga and he is the loving father of Bruce of Brewster, NY and Patti DeLapa of South Salem and father-in-law of Antonietta. He is the devoted grandfather of John, Christina, Elisa, Tara and Melissa.

The family will receive friends on Wed. September 16th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Thurs. September 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.

The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Fri, September 18th at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at South Salem Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Assoc., the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Assoc.
