Pauline Louise Anderson, 101, died March 31, 2006, at the Marian Manor Healthcare Center, Glen Ullin. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 03, 2006, at the Chapel of Marian Manor, Glen Ullin, with Jim Price and Wilfred Goecke officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Heil.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Marian Manor and will continue until the service tiwm.
Pauline was born March 24, 1905, at Loma the daughter of Reinhardt and Ameila (Steinke) Bay. When she was five, the family moved to Carson, where she was raised and educated. She attended Dickinson Normal School and earned her teaching certificate. She taught at Hillboro, Hazeelton and Grant County Schools. She was the last teacher of the Thain School before it closed.
On January 04, 1944, she married William Anderson at Mandan. Following marriage, they farmed in the Flasher area until 1962, when they moved to Minnesota. While in Minnesota, they had a hobby farm and spent the winters in Arizona. Her beloved William died in 1971. After the death of her husband, she sold the Minnesota home and moved to Almont for the summers. In 1983, she sold the Arizona home and made Almont her permanent home until 1995, when she entered the Marian Manor in Glen Ullin.
Pauline is survived by her two brothers, John Bay, Carson, and samuel Bay, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; her six niecs and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in deatrh by her parents, one brother and her husband.
