Norma L. Akers
Services were held Friday for a Peoga area woman who died last Tuesday, December 19, at the St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.
The woman, Norma Loretta Akers, 58, Route 1 Trafalgar, is survived by her husband, Luther Marion Akers.
Mrs. Akers was a member of the Peoga Christian Church and had lived in the area for 11 years.
She was born in Indianapolis on November 20, 1920, to James Richard and Only Oma (Whitlock) Bay.
Other survivors include four daughters, seven sons, a brother, two sisters, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was at Wilson-St. Pierre Greenwood Chapel. Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
