Found in The Greenville News 14 April 1972: Mrs. Agnes Civil Bayard, 92, of 1515 King St., Columbia, widow of Nicholas R. Bayard, died in Greenville Wednesday.
Born in Columbia, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs. John K. Civil, she was an employee of the Veterans Administration, a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Columbia, the Women's Club of the church and the Third Order of Carmelites.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jane Bayard Scrutchin of Magnolia, Ark.; a son, the Rev. Nicholas R. Bayard, Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. J. V. Anderson and Miss Josephine Civil of Columbia; and a granddaughter.
Funeral services, including Holy Mass, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Columbia, with burial in St. Peter's Catholic Church Cemetery.
