Mrs. Mabel Bayard Kane, sister of Secretary Bayard, and widow of the late John K. Kane, brother of the Arctic explorer, was married yesterday at St. George's church, in Stuyvesant Square, New York city, to Levi C. Bird, a prominent member of the Delaware bar. Secretary Bayard gave away the bride. Among those present were many prominent people from Delaware, including Gov. Biggs, Senator Gray and Mrs. Gray, Judge Wales of the United States District Court, Attorney General Briggs, Gen. Wilson, and others. A wedding breakfast was served by the bride's sister, Mrs. Lockwood.

Wilmington, Del., Nov. 29.-Mrs. Mabel Bayard Bird, wife of Levi C. Bird, a prominent Lawyer of this city, and sister of former Ambassador Thomas F. Bayard, died last night. Her first husband was John K. Kane, brother of Elisha Kent Kane, the famous artic explorer.
