Amanda G. Bazan, 72, of Sunnyside died Sunday at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland.

Mrs. Bazan was born in San Juan, Texas. She was a longtime Valley resident.

Survivors include a daughter, Veronica B. Chavez of Sunnyside; a son, Reynaldo Bazan Jr. of Sunnyside; three sisters, Maria Magdalena Montalvo of Houston, Maria Guadalupe Gomez of Sunnyside and Maria Alicia Gomez of Grandview; three brothers, Oscar Gomez of Rio Grande, Texas, Octavio Gomez of McAllen, Texas, and Ricardo Gomez of Edinburg, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside. Burial will be in Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.
