Phyllis Ruth Alkire, née Beall, born January 4, 1929, of Gassaway, WV, passed from this life on February 13, 2019, to reunite with her loving husband, Denzil Alkire. Together, she and Denzil touched many lives from Hawaii to New York City doing God's work as missionaries of the Mormon faith.


Phyllis was a wonderful mother and successful business woman. Her ability to persevere is admired by all who knew her. She enjoyed her extensive genealogical research, sewing and spending time with her family.


She was a loving and dedicated mother to her six surviving children.


Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Judson H Beall and Versta I Harrison of Burnt House, WV and brother, Judson H Beall.


She is survived by her three siblings, 16 grandchildren, 37 great - grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly and forever cherish their memories of her.


Service will be 1 pm Saturday, February 16, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, with President Jacob Harmon officiating. Interment will be in the Beall's Mill Cemetery.
