Clarence L. Bear, 90, died Wednesday June 16, 2010 at Westhaven Nursing Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. His services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Calvary Assembly of God Church in Stillwater with Pastor Doug Brothers and Pastor Rusty Rhoads officiating. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater. Strode funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born on March 11, 1920 in Ranger, Texas to Edith Marie Coffman Bear and Edward Bear. He married Faye Samilee Brewster on February 4 in 1942 in Enid, Oklahoma. To this union three sons were born.
Clarence was a member of the Electrical Union Local 1141 of Oklahoma City, retiring as a Class A Industrial Electrician.
Clarence was a member of the Army Air Corps during World War II and was also a member of Hall Street Church of God for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, also his brothers; Ed, Hibert, Gene and Gail Bear and one sister, Billie Jo.
He is survived by his 3 sons Clarence L. Bear, Jr. and wife Juanita of Sapulpa, Charles Lee Bear and wife Kim of Stillwater and Jerry W. Bear and wife Patricia also of Stillwater; one sister, Luvisa Mears of Baldwyn Mississippi. He is also survived by seven Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren, three Great Great- Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
