Mr. Beard was born July 18, 1936 in Cook County, IL, son of the late Robert H. Beard and Mary Long Beard.
Bob attended schools in Illinois and received an Associates Degree in Marketing and Business.
He is a US Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. Bob is a retired salesman.
Survivors, including his wife Jeanine, are four daughters and three sons; Robert H. Beard, IV of IL, Linda Tueffel (David) of Bridgeview, IL, Brenda Beard of Burbank, IL, David Beard of Ft. Meyers, FL, Debora Volk (Rick) of Oaklawn, IL, Wendy Swieczkowski (Walter) of Summerville, Curtis Johnson (Laura) of South Bend, IN; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a brother, Edward Beard (Arline) of Dyersburg, TN.

On Friday, November 4, 2011 a service will be held for Mr. Beard at 2 o'clock at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend, IN. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
