"Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda J. Beam, 66, of Raleigh, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Raleigh Christian Church with the Rev. Mr. Baxter of Orange officiating. Burial followed in the Raleigh Cemetery. Mrs. Beam, who had been in failing health for several years, died at 8 p.m. Thursday in the City hospital, Rushville.
Survivors are the husband, Wilson Beam; one son, William of Rushville; four step-sons, Carl M. Beam, Cambridge City, Paul and Earl of Indianapolis, and Emery of Lewisville; four daughters, Mrs. Russell Kennedy, Rushville, Mrs. Walter Cox of Straughn, Mrs. Arthur DeBruler of Cambridge City, and Mrs. Ralph Burner of Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Mullen of Raleigh; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild."
