FRANKFORT - Mrs. Mary Essie Avery, 91, of Wesley Manor, died at 6:45 a.m. today in Clinton County Hospital. She had been in serious health since Monday.
A native of Clinton County, she lived in this area many years. She was married in 1908 to the Rev. Hillis L. Avery, who died in 1960.
Mrs. Avery was a member of Mishawaka First Methodist Church and was a 50-year member of South Bend Order of Eastern Star, 2.
Surviving are one son, William N. Avery of Bethesda, Md.; two daughters, Mary Rebecca Vaughn of Freemont and Mrs. Denise Simon of Osceola, Fla.; and three sisters, Maude Kingery of Frankfort, Inis Thompson of Rossville and Leila Record of Wesley Manor.
