EDDINGTON - Clarice E. Babcock, 58, died unexpectedly March 4, 1988, at her residence. She was born in bangor, Sept. 5, 1929, the daughter of Clarence and Vera (Morris) Beatham. She was employed as an LPN for ten years at Eastern Maine Medical Center and for 11 years at Bangor Mental Health Institute. Besides her mother of Torrington, Conn., she is survived by her husband, Vernon Babcock Sr. of Eddington; three sons, Larry Babcock and his wife, Sharon of Bangor, Terry Babcock and Vernon Babcock Jr., both of Eddington; four sisters, Charlotte Robbinson of Newburgh, Avis Hannging of Littleton, N.H., Donna Burdick of New Hartford, Conn., Bernice Nanni of Winsted, Conn.; two brothers, Eugene Beatham of Florida and Owen Beatham of Torrington, Conn.; two grandchildren, Kimberly and Rebecca Babcock; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Kiley-Birmingham Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Randall Chretien officiating. Spring interment will be in Pine Tree Cemetery, Eddington. Those who wish may make donations in her memory to the Diabetes Clinic, EMMC Charities, 489 State St., Bangor 04401.
