A civil rights activist in Birmingham, pre-school teacher, specialist at RDC, member of Saint Andrews Episcopal Church, she is survived by her sisters, Josephine Scott (Clark) and Lida Stewart (Robert); her children, Robby Ballard and Sarah Eaton (Allen); and her grandson, Judah Beaumont Eaton.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5 until 7 pm at Johns-Ridout's Southside Chapel on University Blvd, with a funeral service at St. Andrews Episcopal Church on Tuesday at 11:00 am, graveside service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Altamont School-Mary Hames Fund.
