Dorothy J. Ashlock, 84 of Stanberry, Missouri passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014 in Albany.

Dorothy was born on August 5, 1930 in Worth County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Clyde B. and Mildred O. (Kerns) Beckett.

On July 29, 1950, Dorothy was united in marriage to James Wilfred Ashlock.
He preceded her in death on May 27, 2006.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Helen Weese, Ruby Fountain and Doris Good and a brother, Carl Beckett.

Dorothy was a 1950 graduate of the Albany High School and a member of the Gentryville Baptist Church.

She was an original employee of the Opportunity Workshop in Stanberry. She worked for the workshop from 1972 to 2006.

Survivors: son, Donald Dean Ashlock, Albany; brother, Bill (Betty) Beckett, Loveland, CO; Harold (Donna) Beckett, New Hampton; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service: 3:30 PM Friday, October 3 at the Grandview Cemetery in Albany. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside service at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany, where friends may call anytime after 9:00 AM Friday morning.
