Death of C.G. Beckett.
C.G. Beckett died at the residence of J.W. Evans on Monroe street, at four minutes past 10 o'clock Sunday night, of pneumonia, after an illness of one week.
Deceased was born in Quebec, Canada, July 27, 1840. He came to this valley February, 1886, and bought a ranch and other property, following farming and money-loaning ever since. He leaves a wife.
Funeral services will take place at the Episcopal church at 10 o'clock today. The remains will be sent back to Canada for interment as soon as the roads are open.
