Adele Kruger Beckmann, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of LeRoy Beckmann, Jr., entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 28, 2013. Her funeral services will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Bethel United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. Interment, Magnolia Cemetery . The family will receive friends Saturday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Beckmann was born May 31, 1930 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Erich Herman Kruger and Matilda Mappus Kruger. She was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church, participating in the Cokesbury choir, Chancel Guild, the Col. Lewis class and UMW. She taught children's Sunday school for over 30 years. You could often find Adele in the church kitchen preparing meals for numerous functions.

She lived a life of service as a loving caregiver for her family, neighbors, and friends.Adele spent her life giving and sharing her faith; her actions always spoke louder than words.

She is survived by three daughters: Nancy B. Rollison (Ed) of West Columbia, Carol B. Johnson (Darryl) of Charleston, Linda B. West (Ron) of Mount Pleasant; five grandsons: Stuart B.Parks (Meredith), Jeffrey H. Rollison (Corey), Nicholas A. Johnson, Matthew E. Rollison , Ryan J. West; two brothers: Herman "Skip" Kruger, Adolph "Buddy" Kruger both of Charleston, and a sister, Theresa K. Kettring of Titusville, FL. She was predeceased by her sister, Gertrude Kruger Nadol and baby brother Erich Kruger.
