Sally was a homemaker and a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality, Bartelso American Legion Post 976 Auxiliary, and the Catholic Holy Family Society. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and playing cards and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Christine, nee Wobbe, Beckmann; a son, Steven Becker, four infant brothers; and brothers-in-law, Lawrence Becker and Bobby Becker.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Becker of Bartelso, Ill., whom she married on June 24, 1947,at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown, Ill.; daughter, Charlene Huegen of Bartelso, Ill.; two grandchildren, Jonathan (Beth Harpstrite)Huegen of Albers, Ill., and Chad Huegen of Bartelso, Ill.; five great-grandchildren, Tanner, Cole, Trevor, Brady, and Zackary Huegen; a sister, Bernice (Larry) Gebke of Breese, Ill.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank (Theresa Marie) Becker of Florissant, Mo., Agnes (Joe) Kampwerth of Carlyle, Ill., Rose (Hank) Wilken of Carlyle, Ill., Loretta "Shorty" (Bill) Mueller of Belleville, Ill., Gertrude Becker of Breese, Ill., and Blanche Becker of Bartelso.
Memorials can be made to St. Cecilia Church, Mater Dei High School, or Catholic Charities and will be received at the funeral home.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 and from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso, Ill., with Father Henry Fischer officiating. Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Bartelso, Ill.
