Adeline Beckmann

Mrs. Leo Beckmann, 64, formerly of Granville, died Friday in a Westbrook, Minn., hospital of long illness.

Services were at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Granville. The Revs. Francis J. Nemmers and Sylvester Grady officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Beckmann, the former Adeline Mai was born Dec. 18, 1916 to Mr. and Mrs. John Mai (Theresa Rodesch), in Remsen where she lived until 1937 when she moved to rural Alton. She was married Feb. 14, 1939 in Alton. The couple farmed in rural Granville until 1954 when they moved to Minnesota where they continued farming.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the church guild in Westbrook.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, Dennis of Prior Lake, Minn., and Gary of Mankato; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Sheryl) Tracy of Ellendale and Mrs. John (Patricia) Schaefer of Mount Rose, S.D.; her mother, Mrs. Charles (Theresa) Arens of Remsen; nine grand-children; two brothers, Marvin of Omaha and Robert of Remsen; two sisters, Mrs. Edmund (Lorraine) Herrig of Alton and Mrs. Roland (Orlene) Porter of Storm Lake, and one half-sister, Mrs. George (Marlene) Wilmes of Mankato.

She was preceded in death by her father.
