Alfred Charles Bedinger I, 87, of Georgetown, exhaled his last breath here only to inhale the glorious air of Heaven at 2:00pm, Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Presence USMC, Danville.

He was born April 1, 1927 in Catlin, the son of Royal "Roy" and Amanda (Nesbitt) Bedinger. He was united in marriage to Esther Bonomo on Aug. 29, 1948 until her passing on Jan. 28, 2008.

Alfred was welcomed home by his Lord, his loving wife of 59 years, Esther, his youngest daughter, Lori Ann, his grandson, Alfred Charles III "Chad," as well as many other family members and friends from Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He leaves behind his children, Joan (Steve) Winkle, Alfred Charles II "Chuck" Bedinger and Mary Ann (Ben) Bedinger; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and his sister-in-law, Evelyn Bonomo.

Alfred worked at the VA hospital in Danville as a nurse's aide. He was faithful member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Georgetown.
