Margarethe Schindel was born to Lorenz and Magdalene Schindel and although the 1850 and 1860 censuses say she was born in 1787, her baptismal year, according to Thurmont Apples Church of Frederick Co., Maryland was 1784. She has no monument in this cemetery but her life in this county began in 1839 with her husband, Joseph H. Bedinger, to whom she was married from 1812 until her death. Investigation has shown there are many more burials in this graveyard than there are monuments and Margaret's tomb may be one of those marked with field stones. Joseph's second wife, Susan E. Chrisman's grave is not marked either and her death record states that she was buried in the Bedinger Graveyard.
