Like many other Bedinger wives, it appears to be Susan E. (Chrisman) Bedinger's fate not to have a grave marker. Nine-year-old Susan was enumerated in the 1850 census in the household of Lorenzo and Sarah Stewart. The 1860 census may be in error in several respects. Joseph and Margaret Bedinger were enumerated at the bottom of the page in the household of George W. Reynolds (325/332) and at the top of the next page, Susan, age 17, is enumerated with Henry C. Little, age 11, (326/332). Above George w. Reynolds is the household of Henry and Elizabeth Reynolds. Joseph Bedinger was a miller and Henry Reynolds was probably Joseph's tollgate keeper. This researcher believes it is most likely that the census enumerator misnumbered the households and that Joseph should have been 325/332, with Susan Chrisman and Henry Little in his household and that George W. Reynolds was in all likelihood enumerated with his father, Henry Reynolds. Perhaps Henry and George had separate households, but two teenagers would probably not have lived alone. Susan was probably living in Joseph's household in 1860.
