HANLONTOWN - Margaret "Cherokee" Barnes, 77, of 406 Main St., Hanlontown, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, at the Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 1:30 p.m. at the Bride Colonial Chapel, Manly, with Pastor Phil Does of Riverside Friends Church, Mason City and Pastor Larry Richards II officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Charles City.
Margaret was born Nov. 12, 1927, in Brookville, Penn., the daughter of Arthur and Ida Mae (O'Connor) Beer. Margaret married Kenneth Orcutt and they lived in Pennsylvania. He preceded her in death. She married Keith Barnes Feb. 8, 1964, in Youngsville, Penn.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Keith Barnes, of Hanlontown; two sons, James Orcutt and his wife, Rebecca, of Charles City; Arthur Orcutt and his wife, Lynn, of Plantation, Fla.; three daughters: Kathleen Richards and her husband, Larry, of Somerset, Penn., Carolyn Reynolds, of Marble Rock, and Ferne Orlando and her husband, Brian, of Bradenton, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one sister, Marion Miles and her husband, Ron, of Erie, Penn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Francis Eugene Beer, two infant brothers and her first husband, Kenneth Orcutt.
