In 1911 George, a timekeeper at an oil refinery and army pensioner, was living at 70 Milton Road, Belvedere, Erith with his wife Elizabeth and their 3 children.
George served with Oxford & Bucks Light Infantry during WW1. He later transferred to the Labour Corps, where he was a Company Sergeant Major. George was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal and Military Medal.
He died at The War Hospital, Dewsbury, Yorkshire aged 50.
