Mrs. Agnes J. (Gaffney) Behan, wife of School Committeeman-elect Michael J. Behan, 5 Cushman Street, died Tuesday evening following an illness of short duration. Mrs. Behan was born in this city, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ann Gaffney, and had resided in this city all her life. She was a faithful communicant of the Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Rosary and Scapular Society of that church. She was an active member in the affairs of the Queen's Daughters and the Massachusetts Catholic Order of Forester. A woman of true Christian character, Mrs. Behan was highly respected by all with whom she came in contact. Her passing was deeply felt by her fellow sisters of the organizations of which she was a member.
Besides her husband, she leaves five sisters, Catherine T., Anne E., and Florence B. Gaffney, all of this city, and Mrs. John Kehoe of Milton, and Mrs. Stephen McCormick of Belmont, and one brother, Thomas B. Gaffney, manager of the Casino Theater in this city.
