Mrs. Agnes e. Behan, 62, of 2928 8 1/2 Ave., Rock Island, a lifelong resident of this city, died at 6:40 last evening in St. Anthony's Hospital after a short illness. She had been in the hospital for the past three days.
Mrs. Behan had been employed as a stenographer by the Modern Woodmen of America for over 20 years and worked until Jan. 28 when she became ill.
The body is at the Wheelan Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 tomorrow night.
Funeral services will be held at 1 Monday afternoon in the funeral home. The Rev. Harold Finkbeiner, associate pastor at South Park Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Behan was born in Rock Island June 30, 100, a daughter of Richard and Mina Wolf Meincke. She was reared and attended schools in Rock Island. She was married to Edward M. Behan in Galesburg on July 5, 1924.
She was a member of South Park Presbyterian Church and the Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving are the widower; a sister, Mrs. J. W. Valentine, Rock Island, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
