Mrs. W. D. Hill and Agnes Behan had a narrow escape from the serious injury last Thursday afternoon at the Lockwood house corner. Mr. and Mrs. Hill had been at the Armenia school and upon the return trip picked up two little girls. As there was no room in the seat, Mrs. Hill volunteered to sit upon a box in the back of the rig and at the Great Western was joined by Agnes Behan who also sat with Mrs. Hill on the box. At the Lockwood corner the horses gave a sudden start and the two occupants of the rear seat fell backward out of the rig to the ground. Fortunately there were not broken bones but it was a very narrow escape.
