Mildred (Millie) Cox Behrman

1921 ~ 2011

Mildred Behrman, 90, passed away Wednesday, 6/22/2011.

Millie was born on 1/4/1921 in Pueblo, CO to William and Agod Cox.

She married Lyn Behrman on 6/25/39, in Leadville, CO & moved to Utah in 1942. They were happy 54 years until Lyn's death in 1993.

Some of Millie's fondest memories were of her childhood growing up on the Homestead in Oregon. She helped her family build their log home by peeling the bark from trees. Later her family relocated to Leadville, CO where she graduation from Leadville High School.

Millie developed a strong love for Bible knowledge and became a dedicated member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1951.

She and her husband helped many develop an appreciation of the scriptures through personal & group Bible study programs. They participated in the Christian ministry throughout Utah and were active in service and teaching when traveling with their family to attend conventions.

Millie was known for her kindness and compassion and cared for everyone. All that met her quickly saw her ability to connect with people and she was comfortable talking to strangers as if she had known them for a lifetime. Everyone enjoyed hearing her personal stories of a by-gone era.

She enjoyed all of God's beautiful creations. We willmiss her dearly as our friend, mother, grandmother & good neighbor. We will always love and remember her.

The family appreciates the kindness, support and love that was shown to Millie by her caring friends and neighbors so that she could stay in the comfort of her home and be near those who loved her.

Thanks also go to the staff that cared for her during her stay at Provo Rehab Center and HCS Home Care Specialists.

Survivors include: Linda (Doug) Finch; Don (Andrea), Ben (Lou), & Ray; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents & 3 brothers, Paul, Raymond and Charles.

Graveside services were held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Orem Cemetery.
