She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Peter John Belaney.
She is survived by her wonderful family including her three daughters, Jackie Belaney of Greensboro, NC; Bonnie Kivett and husband, Craig Kivett of Rocky Mount, NC; and Janie Belaney of Greensboro, NC; three grandchildren, Sandy Scott, Jeremy Kivett, and Lisa Jerbi and husband, Kaies; one great-grandchild, Noah Jerbi; two sisters, Trilba Hester of Winston-Salem, NC, and Shirley McKinney and husband, Rayford of King, NC; brother, Bill Simmons and wife, Nancy of Westfield, NC.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Clarice Amick of Greensboro, two brothers, Ray Simmons and Joe Glenn Simmons of Westfield, NC.
The family will have a private memorial.
