LACONIA – Mary M. Allen, 92, of Laconia, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Lakes Region General Hospital.

She was born on July 28, 1922 in Laconia, the daughter of Alexander and Albina (Vigneault) Belford. Mary was a 1940 graduate of Laconia High School and was a communicant of St. Joseph’s church in Laconia where she enjoyed quilting and sewing with the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed candlepin bowling.

She is survived by four sons; Everett P. Allen and his wife Sue of Gilford, William C. Allen of Concord, Jeffrey A. Allen of Charlotte, N.C. and Andrew D. Allen and his wife Cynthia of Jefferson, ME, two daughters; Jane M. Piecuch and her husband Alan of Buxton, ME and Margaret J. Sponseller and her husband Nick of Howard, Ohio, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Everett B. Allen in 2007, one brother, Dr. Charles Belford and two sisters; Virginia Belford and Martha Baker.

Calling hours will be held from 3PM to 5PM on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Whipple Ave. entrance.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, September 15, 2014 at St. Andre Bessette Parish - Saint Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH. Burial will follow in the family lot at Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
