Alfred served in the U.S. Army.
He was employed for many years as a plant operator at Iowa Light and Power.
Those left to cherish Alfred’s life are his loving wife, Virginia; his son, Alfred Jr. (Jody); his daughter, Brenda (David) Jones; his five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Sandyville Cemetery in Sandyville, Iowa.
