Then she married her 3rd husband Peter Eksman May 4, 1922 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Peter was born in Germany and emigrated in 1882.
May 26 1870 census, Wapello, Iowa - 8 years old, She is living in a boarding house with her father Horace 33 a farmer and mother Delilah 26, half brother Philander 11 and brother Oscar 3, and is going to school.
June 24 1880, Columbus Junction, Iowa - 18 years old, She is living in a "Southern Suburb" of Columbus Junction with her father Horace J. 43 an "organ agent" and mother Delilah 37, half brother Philander 21 and brother Oscar 13 and is working as a seamstress.
1885 Iowa state census - 23 years old, She is keeping house on Front St. with her first husband, Zachariah Alburn.
April 22 1910, Atlantic, Iowa - 48 years old, She is living in a rented house at 801 Mulberry Street with her 2nd husband, James Ripple Matthews 62, a stepson Guy Blaine Matthews 21, and a son from her 1st marriage Glen Alburn 17. It says she has had 2 children but only 1 is still living.
According to her son Glen's WWI draft dated Jun 5 1917 in Campbell Co., WY, she is dependent on him for support.
She passed away sometime after 1950 as she is listed with her son Glen Alburn on the 1950 US Census in Longmont, Boulder Co., Colorado. Her son had been living in Colorado all through the 40's & 50s. She is not listed with her son on the 1940 Census though.
