Bert was the son of Henry David & Martha "Jane" (Howard) Bell.

Bert's first wife was Myrtle (maiden name unknown). Their children were Charles & Ralph.

Bert and his second wife, Mary Ruybal, were married in Aztec, New Mexico, in October 1952, after which they moved to Yuma, Arizona. His mother came to visit and was diagnosed with cancer in December. She died the following month on Jan. 10, 1953.

Their children were Bert, Alfred, Edith, & Mary Elizabeth.

Some time later Bert & Mary moved to CA. His obituary, which follows, tells a little about his life.

Services are set today for Bert Edward Bell, who died at Palo Verde Hospital, following a short illness. He was 84. The Rev. Bill Merrill, of the First Southern Baptist Church of Palo Verde, will preside at the 10 a. m. funeral in Frye Chapel. Disposition is at Palo Verde Cemetery. Bell was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Blythe.

Mr. Bell was a Palo Verde Valley resident since 1955 and made his living as a heavy duty diesel mechanic.

He was born Dec. 23, 1902, in Dora, Mo., and grew up in the Midwest. In October of 1952, he and the former Mary Ruybal were married in Aztec, New Mexico, and then made the Blythe area their home a few years later.

Mr. Bell will be remembered by his fraternal order, Davenport Lodge 206, of the Free and Accepted Masons, of Davenport, Okla., of which he was a longstanding member, and by Blythe Lodge 473 of that order.

He leaves his wife of 35 years, Mary, of Blythe; and sons, Bert, also of Blythe; Alfred of Albuquerque, N. M.; and Charles, whose address is unknown. He also leaves two daughters, Edith McGraw and Mary E. Upson, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Mr. Bell's brothers, Barton and George, both of Missouri, also survive as do his sisters, Marie Bell, Pauline Beard, and Maxine Bell, all of Missouri. He also leaves 12 grandchildren.
