From the Nevada State Journal, Wednesday, September 27, 1972:

Mrs. Janet Marie Morrison, long-time community leader and widow of one of the Reno area's leading physicians, died Monday in a local hospital. Mrs. Morrison had been a resident of Reno since 1904, when she and Dr. S. K. Morrison were married.

She was born in San Francisco, California on July 2, 1880, the daughter of Alexander and Amelia Bell. Dr. Morrison died here in 1942. Their son, Gibson "Buzz" Morrison, died in a plane crash in Alameda, California in 1936.

Mrs. Morrison was a long-time active member of Trinity Episcopal Church, the Twentieth Century Club, the Minerva Club (of which she was past president), and a life member of the Reno Little Theater. She was also a charter member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority.
