Joy Lynn Alexander, age 71, a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and a resident of Madera California for 58 years, passed away at St. Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, after an extended illness. Joy was born to Worthen Bell (1915-1988) and Lucille Minor, both natives of Arkansas.
A homemaker, Joy was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Albert Alexander, on June 20, 2006. James had operated a Turkey Ranch in Madera prior to his passing. In addition to her husband James, Joy was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Ellen Schafer and Brenda Coram.
Joy is survived by her children; son, Marty Alexander of Kingsburg, Ca., and daughter Debbie Ruiz of Madera. She is the sister of Bill Coram of Palo Verde, Ca. and Carol Ransom of Semora, North Carolina. She is the cherished grandmother of 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
