Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bell of Dayspring were buried Wednesday afternoon in the Dayspring Cemetery, following a grave-side funeral service conducted by Rev. W.L. Myra. Mrs. Bell, 72, died Sunday in Dawson Memorial Hospital.
Born in Dayspring, the former Daisy Mae Hirtle, she was a daughter of the late Titus and Emily (Fraser) Hirtle.
She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Mable Burns, Woburn, Mass.; Evelyn (Mrs. Douglas Hiltz), Bridgewater; Mrs. Lottie Simmons, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Leone Wright, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and a brother, Roger, Halifax.
Mr. Bell, 73, died Monday in Camp Hill Hospital, Halifax.
Born in Rankinston, Ayshire, Scotland, he was a son of the late Samuel and Isabella Bell.
He is survived by three nephews, Samuel Miller and Lewis and Alex Bell, all of Halifax.
He was predeceased by his wife, a sister, and two brothers.
