Alice Belmont, 93, of Batavia, passed away March 13, 2011. She was born April 7, 1917 in Cicero, IL, the daughter of Basil and Eda Filachione. She was united in marriage to Anthony H. Belmont.Alice and her husband owned and operated Belmont Florist in Chicago for a number of years. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.She is survived by her son, Anthony M. (Patricia) Belmont of Batavia; two grandchildren, Victoria (Bruce) Sikora and Christina Belmont; and a brother, Fred Filachione.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; a brother, Ed Filachione; and a sister, Lillian Filachione.Visitation will be held 4-8 P.M. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. (Route 31), Batavia, IL, 60510. Funeral services will begin with prayers from the funeral home Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. before proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Rd., Geneva, IL 60134 to celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
