Peekskill Evening Star, Thursday, September 15, 1955. Mrs. J. Belmonte Died Yesterday. Mrs. Juliette Morpurgo Belmonte, 74, died yesterday (Wed. Sept. 14, 1955) at the residence of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Seeley, 912 Washington Street. She had been in ill health for the past 8 months. She was born in Dutch Guiana, South America March 7th, 1881, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Morpurgo. Her husband was the late William C. Belmonte. Survivors are two sons, William C. Belmonte of Nelham Manor, New Jersey and formerly of this city and Joseph Belmonte of Neptune City, New Jersey; one daughter, Mrs. C. P. (Elizabeth) Seeley of Peekskill; one sister, Mrs. C. (Betsy) Poe (or Pos) of Dutch Guiana and 7 grandchildren. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the Ulm Brothers Funeral Home, 344 Washington Street, with Rev. Robert H. Blackshear, pastor of the Peekskill Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be Saturday morning at Woodlawn Cemetery, New York City.
