Port Leyden: Miss Julie Marion Belmont, 99, of 13926 State Rt. 12, Boonville, and formerly of Elm St. and Whitton Place, Port Leyden and Utica passed away peacefully into God's arms Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 in Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville after a brief illness. Miss Belmont, beloved aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt was surrounded by her closest family members at the time of her death.

She was born in Utica, Dec. 28, 1913 the daughter of Michael and Mary Pugliese Belmont and was a 1931 graduate of Lyons Falls School. She was employed at General Electric, Utica in the radio-receiver dept. from 1948 until her retirement in 1974.

She moved to Lyons Falls and then to Port Leyden after her retirement.

She was a member of St. Martin's Church, Port Leyden and the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed baking and was an avid reader.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers Angelo and Frank and two sisters Erland Belmont and Carolina Manning.

The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Martin's Church, Port Leyden with rev. Lawrence Marullo, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Port Leyden.
