LYONS FALLS - Angelo L. Belmont,
82, Gorham Street, died
Sunday evening, March 6, in the
House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown,
where he had been a patient
since Feb. 4.
The funeral was Wednesday,
March 9, in St. John's Catholic
Church with the Rev. John Cosmic,
pastor, officiating. Spring burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery,
Port Leyden.
Donations may be made to the

Surviving are three sons, Michael
and Rodney, both of Lyons
Falls, and Anthony, Port Leyden;
eight grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren;
a brother, Frank,
Johnstown; three sisters, Julie Belmont
and Carolina Manning, both
of Port Leyden, and Erlong Belmont,
Clinton, and several nieces
and nephews.
Born in Utica on July 27,
1911, a son of Michael and Mary
Pugliese Belmont, he graduated
from Lyons Falls High School and
married Jennie Bidga on Jan. 12,
1940, in Lowville by Judge Miller
B. Moran. Mrs. Belmont died Nov.
28, 1988, at the age of 67.
Mr. Belmont was employed by
Georgia Pacific Corp. and the
Gould Paper Co. for 42 years, retiring
in 1975.
He was a communicant of St.
John's Catholic Church
