The funeral was Wednesday,
Nov. 30, at the Trainor
Funeral Home, Boonville,
with Rev. Thomas J. Robillard,
pastor of St. John's
Church, Lyons Falls, and St.
Martin's Church, Port Leyden,
officiating. Burial was
in Calvary Cemetery, Port
Leyden.
There were no calling
hours. Contributions were
made to the Lyons Falls Fire
Company Ambulance Fund.
Surviving besides her husband
are three sons, Michael
J. and Rodney, both of Lyons
Falls, and Anthony, Port
Leyden; seven grandchildgren;
a great-grandson; a
brother, Anthony Bigda,
Constableville, and three
sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Lottie)
Farr, Cape Vincent, Mrs.
Agnes Krug, Lyons Falls,
and Mrs. Manny (Sophie)
Barboza, St. Augustine, Fla.
Two brothers, Theodore
and Zygmunt Bigda, and
sister, Mary Kraeger, died
previously.
Born in Highmarket on
May 1, 1921, a daughter of
Anthony and Mary Cudnik
Bigda, she spent her young
life in the Constableville -
Highmarket area, where she
attended school.
She married Angelo L.
Belmont on Jan. 12, 1939 in
Lowville. The couple had
lived in Lyons Falls since
their marriage.
Mrs. Belmont was a
communicant of St. John's
Church.
