Louise L. Benjamin, age 87, of St. Anne, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Greentree of Bradley.
She was born November 25, 1931 in Kankakee, the daughter of Walter & Laura Sthay Laney.
Louise married Charles Benjamin June 12, 1954 in Beaverville. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1977.
Louise was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her children and her grandchildren. She was a parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church in St. Anne.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Gary & Sheri Benjamin of St. Anne; one daughter & son-in-law, Deb & Mike Foisy of Momence; four grandchildren, Nick (Ashley) Benjamin, Nathan (Janie) Benjamin, Ryan Foisy, and Keli Foisy; four great-grandchildren, Willa, Weston, Bentley, Benjamin, and Braelyn Foisy; and two sisters, Rose Burton of Kankakee and Marie Wilson of Beaverville.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Ovid Laney, Ed Laney, Frank Laney, Richard Laney, Bernice Page, and Annie Pray.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home in St. Anne. Deacon Patrick Skelly will officiate the service.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Beaverville.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley, masses, or St. Anne Catholic Church.
