Mrs. Baum, 74, of Reightown, Tyrone RD2, died at 7:55 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 1983, in the Hillview Convalescent Center after an extended illness. She was born March 16, 1909, in Van Ormer, Cambria County, a daughter of George F. and Martha R. (Keith) Benn, and Oct. 17, 1925, in Hastings, married Guy E. Baum, who died Oct. 4, 1971. Surviving are four children: Harry S. of Altoona, Sgt. 1st Class Donald G., stationed with the Army in Germany, Phyllis J. Loose of Petersburg, Mich., and Joyce A. Decker of Pinecroft; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters: Florence Beck and Mae McGinnis of Bellwood. Mrs. Baum was a member of the Logan Valley Baptist Church, Bellwood. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood.
