Lead Daily Call, December 20, 1902 - "Died, at Golden Reward, this morning, of pneumonia, Ethel May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bennett, aged 3 years and 11 days. Funeral from residence and burial in South Lead cemetery Monday."

Funeral to Take Place Monday
Saturday morning at the hour of 4 o’clock the grim reaper of death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bennett, claiming for its victim their little daughter, who had only arrived at the age of three years and 11 months old. The little girl had only been ill for a period of a week or ten days, being afflicted with pneumonia. The funeral will take place from the residence in Golden Reward, Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Geo. Carter, of the Terry M.E. church officiating. Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of J.L. Marcoux, and interment will be made in the South Lead cemetery.

Ethel May, the three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bennett of Golden Reward, died this morning at 4 o'clock. The cause of death was pneumonia. The funeral will be held from the residence Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. George Carter conducting. The interment will be in South Lead cemetery, under direction of J.L. Marcoux.
